Our learning spaces are thoughtfully designed to help children feel calm, curious, and secure from the moment they arrive, where learning happens naturally through play and exploration.

Caring, Consistent Staff

Our nurturing team builds warm, trusting relationships with every child. We take time to understand your child’s personality, interests and comforts so we can support them in a familiar way that helps them feel secure.

Each child has a Key Person who forms a special bond with them, supports their confidence and plans experiences to help them take their next steps in learning.

Settling in Gently

Starting nursery is a big milestone - for children and parents. We follow your child’s lead, working closely with you to make the transition calm, positive and reassuring. Every child’s journey towards confidence and independence is unique, and we support them at their own pace.

Comfort in Routine

A predictable daily rhythm helps children feel secure. Our routine balances group times, activities, free play, outdoor adventures and mealtimes, with visual timetables and gentle support during transitions.

Inspiring Indoor Spaces

Our rooms are designed to feel both familiar and exciting, with activities that invite children to explore, create, build and imagine. Adults introduce new experiences to spark curiosity and gently extend learning.

Cosy areas such as our reading corner, sensory space, and sleep room allow children to relax, regulate their emotions, and rest when they need to.

Outdoor Adventures Every Day

Outdoor play is an important part of life at Leaping Toads. Our well-resourced garden gives children space to explore, take safe risks and connect with nature, with soft-surface flooring to support confident physical play.

Children build strength and coordination through climbing, riding, and balancing, while sand, water, and mud kitchen play encourages creativity and teamwork.

They also enjoy growing plants, hunting for mini-beasts, imaginative play in the Wendy House and outdoor mark making. Outdoor learning gives children fresh air and freedom to move, supporting their physical and emotional wellbeing.

Community Playthings

They are also kind to our children and the planet - made from child-safe, healthy, eco-friendly materials and produced through sustainable manufacturing processes, using wood from responsibly managed forests.
